An incredibly delicious experience

The RISTORANTE DA FRANCESCONE was born in one of the districts of Cologne, Rodenkirchen. The gastronomic adventure begins in 2020 with the aim of offering our customers a pleasant sensorial experience. Our Italian restaurant offers typical regional cuisine and a wide range of gourmet dishes with unique flavors and aromas.

This welcoming place reflects our passion for traditional Italian products, simple cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. Our menu offers a selection of original regional dishes, all freshly cooked by the chef. The menu changes daily with new dishes offering diversity and new experiences for the palate of its guests. You can choose a tasting menu, or an à la carte menu which is updated every 15 days. We can also find an extensive wine list starting from southern to northern Italy with fine wines. 

Thanks to the combination of traditional and quality ingredients, we offer gourmet dishes with unique flavors and a vast culinary delightsimply unforgettable.

There are paths we choose, and then there are destinies that call you from childhood — with a voice both gentle and powerful. Mine began in the arms of my grandmother, surrounded by the honest scents of her home cooking. It was there, among those simple and sincere flavors, that I understood food is not just nourishment: it is memory, emotion, a bridge connecting generations and hearts.

I was only 14 when I first stepped into a professional kitchen, in a Michelin-starred restaurant. That door closed behind me, but the fire inside me ignited forever. From that moment on, there hasn’t been a single day when I didn’t give my all.

What I have built is not just a craft: it’s a journey of sacrifice, sleepless nights lit only by passion, and humility in honoring every single ingredient as a treasure. I had the privilege of working in some of Italy’s finest kitchens, growing every day, learning to lead, create, and bring value to those around me. Becoming an executive chef at just 20 was not an end, but the first great milestone of a deeper journey.

But I didn’t stop there. I left my country to carry my passion beyond borders: first to France, then to England. Experiences that broadened my horizons and refined my technique, but never changed who I am — a cook who cooks with heart and pours his soul into every creation.

Then, at 28, I made a choice few dare to make: I left the world of stars to return to the people. I wanted my cooking not to be a luxury for a few, but a warm embrace for everyone. High quality, yes — but true, honest, made to make anyone sitting at the table feel at home.

Today, at my restaurant Da Francescone, I proudly carry my story in every dish: my land, the people who shaped me, the challenges I overcame with heart and determination. Every dish I create is not just flavor, but living emotion, a story meant to touch the soul.
